Ups: Multitude of options, Character Depth, Longevity, Value for money, Adaptive Time-Phasing

Downs: Limited sound and graphics, Difficult learning curve, Cumbersome combat system

Bottom Line: Activision have produced a game that can be frustrating to a novice unfamiliar with the style it offers, however if it's atmosphere and depth you're after you could do alot worse for your money.

"IN AN ENCHANTED MEDIEVAL realm known as the Gael Serran, an evil Pharaoh has overcome a curse and returned to a world unable to defend itself against him. Only the legendary Mavin Sword--a blade forged of twin metals, one cursed by evil, the other blessed by the divine--has the strength to bring his defeat. With the assistance of Kerah, an angel, and Erathsmedor, a dragon, you must engage on a dangerous quest to uncover the legend of the Sword and bring an end to all evil in the land."
They always sound so dramatic don't they? Writing a review on a game the size of Wizards & Warriors is no easy task. It's similar to summarising War & Peace having only read the first chapter. Activision have released an epic Role Playing Game with little or no hype and after the huge marketing of other titles on the market you may be left wondering is it worth it?
RPG fans familiar with PC classics such as Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master will recognise the style of game play immediately. The view is FPS based with an on screen box showing your view (controlled by keyboard) with icons representing spells/weapons filling up the rest of the screen (controlled by mouse) Your role is to take a band of adventurers through forests, crypts, castles, dungeons and slay foul beasts. You get the picture.
