HOW COOL IS THIS? A device that plugs into your PSP and translates phrases for you from one language to another. The team at Sony are about to release the TalkMan here in New Zealand and it's going to be a "must have" gadget for many PSP owners.
At this stage we are not sure if they have a Kiwi to Australian translation option, however with languages including German, French, English and Spanish it already covers some 94 countries.
Sony has taken the humble game console and turned it into an indispensable tool for any traveller or businessman dealing with overseas clients (note: this last sentence is what you need to tell your boss to convince him you need a PSP).
With a friendly interface and thousands of phrases you will never be stuck trying to get back to your hotel, find the nearest toilets and all the other common phrases that us humans use on a daily basis.
That not all though; over time TalkMan will also teach you the language. Yes, kids, you can now tell your parents with some authority that a PSP is essential to your language studies.
Scheduled for release on 14 July, TalkMan will feature:
- A fun, voice-activated two-way phrasebook on a UMD
- Specially-designed microphone is included
- You talk through your PSP and TalkMan gets you understood
- Japanese, English, French, Italian, German & Spanish recognised
(94 countries covered)
- Over 3000 phrases to use, practice and learn for each language
