Developer: Konami; Publisher: Atari
Preview by Gunner (25 March 2004)

YOUR XBOX IS ABOUT to get radical, dude. The shell backs are back and they're mean and green with their eyes on the shred.

The cartoon cult classic has made a bit of a comeback recently - and lets face it, our four heroes have lost none of their appeal. With their '70s jive talk, rye humour and rad fighting skills they just ooze 'computer game,' so it's little wonder we are about to see their first outing on the Xbox.

Playing as one of the heroes, you can play the story mode - which takes you through some six massive stages - or a two-player versus mode as well as a co-op mode. Your hero has got all the slick moves you'd expect from martial arts officianados: you can bash, slice and dice your way through a myriad of bad guys while cutting them down to size with your wit and charm.

  • "Want to play stick ball? I have a stick... you be the ball."
  • With voice acting from the show and a very cartoon feel to the graphics this game is very much like playing the cartoon. Even down to the "Crash?, "Pow?and "Arrgh? sprawling in words across the screen. You will come against bad boys such as thugs, foot soldiers, robots etc and with the array of weapons your team is packing it promises to be a mega mondo bash feast. Grab your blue cheese and anchovy pizza and get ready for Turtle time!
  • Features include:
  • Brings the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles home for the first time on next generation video systems!
  • Action-based gameplay where you must master ninja butt-kickin' abilities
  • Multiplayer mode for hand-to-hand combat
  • Discover scrolls and find items that will unlock special attack moves and special effects
  • Interact with unforgettable characters, including Splinter, Casey Jones, April O'Neal, Baxter Stockman and Shredder
  • Faithful representation of the FoxBox's TMNT animated series
  • Amazing cell shaded graphics make this game look like the cartoon series come alive!
Check out the latest screenshots while you chow down on your pizza and hang until the 16th of April when it will be released (Hmmm April O'Neil!)
