Eurogamer Network – publisher of the UK's most popular consumer video games website, Eurogamer.net – today launched Eurogamer TV, a complete video content solution for games publishers, developers and fans. The service is available now at http://www.eurogamer.tv
Eurogamer TV is designed to complement the main Eurogamer.net website and features a Flash-based video player, which requires no additional software to be installed by users.
Following on from a successful beta period during which tens of thousands of videos were streamed from the site, the fully launched service has enhanced features including the ability to expand videos to make the viewing area larger and a new site design. The videos are available in low, medium and high quality versions.
Eurogamer says it has made a large investment in the hardware infrastructure required to serve millions of videos each month.
Following on from this, the company will begin to produce original video content. Tools will be made available to PR teams to provide videos painlessly and quickly to Eurogamer TV, allowing maximum exposure for their products.
"The full launch of Eurogamer TV is the latest step in the rapid development of Eurogamer as a major online player," said Rupert Loman, Eurogamer Network's Director of Operations. "We're looking forward to kicking off original video content production and building a large audience for the Eurogamer TV site."
